La edicion en CD incluye Mother-In-Law por Lee Perry, Dance the Ska por Delroy and Paulette, Teach The Ska por Lord Brynner, Heaven's Declare por Maytals, Musical Communication, Ska Ba and Exodus por Skatalites y subtracts Further East, Feeling Good, y Scrap Iron.
Comentario del disco:
Después de colaborar con los artistas y vocalistas más reconocidos de Jamaica (tales como The Maytals, The Wailing Wailers o Desmond Dekker) y de sacar un puñado de singles que ahora son presa de coleccionistas, los Skatalites originales se metieron en el Studio One de Mr. Clement Sir Coxsone Dodd a grabar su álbum debut.
La mejor formación que ha reunido nunca la isla jamaicana (con los ya legendarios Tommy McCook, Roland Alphonso, John "Dizzy" Moore, Don Drummond, Lloyd Brevette, Lloyd Knibbs, Jackie Mitto, Lester Sterling y Jerry Hines) incluyó 12 cortes de puro y rabioso Ska que en ocasiones roza el Jazz. No es de extrañar si tenemos en cuenta que antes de la explosión del Ska todos los componentes de Skatalites eran excelentes músicos de Jazz que habían estudiado en la Alpha Boy´s School, escuela de músicos dirigida por monjas que recogían a los niños huérfanos jamaicanos.
Es un disco difícilmente superable, que incluye cortes que han pasado a la historia de la música en Jamaica tales como "Lee Oswald", "Four Corners", "Ball Of Fire" o "Christine Keeler".
Y es que como los presentaba el mismísimo Dodd; 'Skatalites consiste en un grupo de músicos que son lo mejor individualmente, y que se han unido para crear un sonido que es el más grandioso'.
Cualquier fan de la música de la isla caribeña debería tener el mayor número posible de álbumes de los Skatalites, porque no olvidemos que...'Ska, Reggae, Bluebeat...todo comenzó con los Skatalites', y qué mejor forma de comprobarlo que gozando de éste, su primer álbum.

Comentario del disco:
Sin duda alguna son la banda de Ska por excelencia, son el mito, la leyenda, los clásicos de la escena jamaicana y su música lleva haciendo bailar a viejos y a jóvenes desde hace treinta años. En este disco podrás encontrar 32 grabaciones de la banda realizadas en los años 64 y 65 y producidas por C.S. Dodd, algunas con colaboraciones de la talla de Ken Boothe o Bob Marley y sus Wailers, y en las que Drummond, McCook, Alphonso y compañía nos dan una lección magistral de lo que es el auténtico Ska con temas clásicos como "Scandal Ska", "Christine Keeler" o "Eastern Standard Time". Excepcional.

La historia de este disco mas o menos es la siguiente: cuando los Skatalites se reunieron en 1983 pues tuvieron que ensallar para que las canciones les salieran y este disco nos presenta las grabaciones que hicieron en esos tiempos en el estudio de Jackie Mittoo que se llama Music Mountain, todos los skatalites originales estan en este album menos Don Drummond (ya saben el porque) y fue la ultima grabacion que hicieron en su natal Jamaica, pero salio a la venta hasta septiembre del 2007.
Todas los temas son inéditos menos "Big Trombone" y "Devils Triangle" pero se podria decir que estas son las versiones originales.
